Meet the Team
The project team directly involved in the proposed Cahermurphy West Wind Farm includes a dedicated in-house team that works with an engineering consultant, complemented by FuturEnergy Ireland and MCRE specialists in areas such as grid, stakeholder management, ecology and planning.

Pádraig Howard
MCRE CEOAs CEO of MCRE, Co Clare native Pádraig has extensive experience in all aspects of project management of construction projects, including renewable energy developments Callan Wind Farm and Cahermurphy 1.

David Heelan
Project ManagerDavid has worked in the renewables and industrial production sectors throughout Ireland and the UK since 2008 with a more recent focus on asset management and performance optimisation. He believes that our work will deliver tangible benefits to the Irish energy sector and directly reduce the country’s reliance on imported and expensive fossil fuels.

Niall Barrett
Community Engagement ManagerNiall has a background in community and youth work. Most recently, he worked as a Community Liaison Officer on power transmission projects. Having previously developed education programmes on sustainability, Niall is now bringing his expertise in the non-profit sector to renewable energy.

Liam Cleary
Community Liaison OfficerLiam has in excess of 40 years’ experience in the forest industry with both the Forest Service and Coillte. During his time as District Manager for Waterford and South Tipperary, he was heavily involved in public consultation and community engagement on forest management plans and operations.

Kevin Donnellan
Kevin has 43 years’ experience in forestry management. Highlights include working on Coillte’s dual FSC/PEFC certification and on the EU Life funded blanket bog habitat restoration project. Kevin has a keen interest in forest recreation and is looking forward to building a strong relationship with the local community in the Cahermurphy area.
